3 Weeks Old

Since Daddy didn't have to leave for work until 1 today, Mommy took the opportunity to run to the grocery store and pick-up things to make Thanksgiving Dinner with.  She also remembered to get batteries for the little bouncy seat we borrowed from cousin Maddux.

This afternoon, Mommy rigged me up in it.  Since I'm still so little, she put my little snuggler thing from the NICU in the chair then covered it with a cozy little blanket (Thank you Aunt Teddie).  I enjoyed the chair for a little while.  :)

20 Days Old

Today was a little busy, and Mommy almost forgot to get her daily photo.

In this photo she's all snuggled up in her Swaddle Me...another fabulous invention!!!

19 Days Old...Happy Sunday

Since Daddy went to church last Sunday, Mommy went today.  It was so good to see our church family and friends.  We look forward to the day we can all go as a family!

Brooklyn tried out her first non-gown/sleeper outfit today.  Thanks to the Didion's for the sweet little bear outfit.

Our little girl all snug as a bug.  While sleeping photos may not be very exciting, we love to watch her sleep.  She looks so innocent and peaceful.

18 Days Old

Tonight we all went out to run a few errands.  Ms. Brooklyn got to stay in the car while Daddy chauffeured Mommy around.  She really enjoys riding in the car.

Tonight was also bath night!  We really think she likes bath time and can hardly wait to put her in her little bath tub...but for now we're still doing sponge baths.  Hopefully, her little cord will fall off soon.

All clean and ready to go nite, nite...

I must say, the Boppy has to be one of the greatest inventions for a baby of all times.  Brooklyn absolutely loves her Boppy pillow.

17 Days Old

Today Brooklyn and I mostly just chilled at home.  We did however make our first outing together.  Daddy needed us to run an errand for him, to Chick-Fil-A, for the lock-in at church tonight.  Since we could pick-up the party trays in the drive-thru, we were happy to help.  Since Daddy has to stay with all the kiddos at church tonight, Brooklyn and I are spending the night by ourselves.

This is my sweet girl taking a nap on me.  I think she is so precious!

16 Days Old...Our "Little Turkey"

Wow!  Today we've all been home together for a full week.  Time really does fly by, but we are enjoying every moment, even those at 2 a.m.  This is our "Little Turkey."  With Thanksgiving Day being only one week away (which is really hard to believe), we thought it appropriate to bring out the Thanksgiving sleeper.

We have so much to be thankful for each and every day.  Today we share with you that we are very thankful for our little Brooklyn Grace...that God gave her to us, that she is now home with us and healthly.  What a wonderful blessing!!!

15 Days Old

After Mommy and Daddy told everyone they were having a baby, my cousins Jacob and Emma knicknamed me Peanut.  They had this adorable little gown made just for me.  The knickname stuck throughout Mommy's pregnancy since Mommy and Daddy didn't find out if I was going to be a boy or girl.  Although Jacob has since started calling me Brooklyn, Emma still calls me Peanut.

At my doctor's appointment yesterday, my nurse came in the room and said, "oh, you're just a little peanut aren't you."  Mommy and Daddy thought that was funny.

Two Weeks Old

Brooklyn was two weeks old today, and what better way to celebrate than a trip to the doctor.  This was her two week check-up/follow-up visit.  She weighed 7 pounds and 14 ounces.  It was pretty chilly so we bundled her up really good. Thank you Ms. Jennifer for the sweet blanket, and to Nana (Mommy's Mom) for the cute little sleeper and shoes.  P.S.  Her feet really aren't that big yet, but Mommy couldn't resist putting her little shoes on her.

Mommy wanted to make sure I had plenty of memories of my two week old birthday, but I really didn't like the camera flash much today.

With a little patience...Mommy won out...this is our beautiful baby girl on her two week birthday!

13 Days Old

It was bound to happen...  In the wee hours of the night, Daddy was changing my diaper, and I initiated him well by pooping and peeing in the process.  He ran upstairs to get me a change of clothes and brought back this blue gown.  I know, I know...it makes me look like a little boy right now, but Mommy will fix me up soon with a blue hairbow.

Twelve Days Old

This is our sleeping beauty.  Thanks Ms. Marianne and Grace for the sweet little gown.  We think she looks so precious in it.

Eleven Days Old

Today we all chilled out as a family.  Daddy cleaned the car before retiring to watch the Vols play.  Brooklyn and I curled up on the couch during the game, and Daddy thought we needed the UT blanket.  Sadly, it didn't bring them any luck.

After the game we made Brooklyn a little pallet in the floor and let her have a little tummy time.

Ten Days Old

Daddy went back to his full work schedule today.  So, Brooklyn and I sent him a little picture present...

Later tonight Mommy and Daddy gave Brooklyn her first bath (if you count a sponge bath a real bath) at home.  Although she didn't like getting undressed very much, she didn't seem to mind getting clean.

Nine Days Old...and Going Home!!!

We brought our baby girl home today!!!  It was so incredibly wonderful.  Before we left, the picture lady came to take her hospital portrait.  Ha!  Someone was not in the mood to cooperate at first.

But, look at the smirk on her face when we told her she was going home.

Star meet Brooklyn, Brooklyn meet Star.  We didn't really know how Star would react to Brooklyn, since she has been the only child for almost 7 years.  She sniffed Brooklyn a little bit, then licked her hand and cheek...that was about it.

It was only a few minutes before Star rolled a ball under the couch and started barking at it.  Brooklyn didn't seem to mind...thank goodness.

Nice and cozy in the cradle.

What an amazing day!  The sun was shining and our little girl came home.  God is so Good!!!

Eight Days Old

Pure sweetness!!!

Today at about 2:30 p.m., Miss Brooklyn received her last IV antibiotic treatment.  Then, we started our "room-in."  For those who aren't familiar with Centennial, the hospital has all of the parents of NICU babies room-in one night before going home.  Mom and Dad stay with their baby in a suite on the NICU floor and take care of their little one.  The nurses and staff are there for support if you need them.  We were so excited to stay with Brooklyn and be together as a family.  Here she is, snug as a bug...

One Week Old!

Wow!  Already one week old.  I know they say time flies, enjoy every moment, but wow, does time ever fly by.  Our precious little one is a whole week old today!

Six Days Old

Tiny hands...

Our sleeping beauty!

Five Days Old

Today was her first full day in the NICU step-down unit.  One of the wonderful staff made her a cute little name tag for her bassinet.

This next photo really makes us laugh.  Wonder what she was thinking?

A very pround Daddy! (Mommy is just as proud, but apparently takes more pics than Daddy does.)

Thank you Ms. Angela for the sweet little monogrammed blanket!  She was styling in the NICU.

At our last visit today, we changed her clothes again and changed out all of her blankies.  Thank you to the Shelton's for the very sweet pink blankie and to Ms. Angela for monogramming it for her.
