Just some random stuff...

Brooklyn is such a joy!  She'll be 16 weeks old this Tuesday, and I can hardly believe that!  It's just truly amazing to watch her grow.  I love to watch her face light up when I pick her up in the morning.  She's started laughing a little bit, and that makes me giddy!  It's so funny to hear her laugh.  She loves to play, which is so fun for Andy and me.  She's been rolling over from her tummy to her back since she was six weeks old, and can almost go back to tummy...I know it will be just any day now.  She's started touching the pages of books when I read to her, and started really liking her soft books last weekend.  She's such a great little baby and it's even greater that she's ours.

This weekend in Nashville, is gorgeous. Brooklyn and I went for a long walk on Thursday and Friday and took Daddy and Star with us this morning.  I'm loving Mr. Sunshine.   Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the snow, but the sunshine makes me very happy!

On Monday, I return to work and Brooklyn will go to daycare.  Please keep me in your prayers next week.  I'm so attached to her and love spending every moment with her.  We met her teachers on Thursday, Ms. Valerie and Ms. Zaid.  They seem wonderful, and I know they'll take excellant care of her, but I'm going to miss her so very, very much!!!

Well, I'm all caught up again...except for the pictures I need to get and post from my mom's camera.  I think I'll see her next weekend or the next, so don't forget to go back and check them out.

15 Weeks Old

Another picture of my little princess playing (on 2/17).  Oh, that sweet little face!!!

Here's a few more pictures from Friday, including ones of her first night to sleep in her crib.  She's so tiny in that big bed.  She's been sleeping in a cradle in our room, which is downstairs.  She did great!!!...Mommy...not so great.  We ended up sleeping in our guest bedroom upstairs to be closer to her.

Brooklyn says, "Star, you're on my toy."

Brooklyn says, "Mommy, help.  Star won't move."

14 Weeks Old, a Trip to Lexington & Valentine's Day

I didn't get a picture on her 14th week birthday, but we do have lots of pictures from the weekend.  On Friday, our sweet Jacob turned 10 years old, so we all headed to Lexington to celebrate with him.  I can't believe my little man is 10.  I know I keep saying it, but time flies.  He's such a handsome little man.  I videoed his party, so I'll have to get pictures from Julie of the festivities.

I did get a new memory card, so the pictures should be coming more frequently now.  Yea!!!

I did manage to get this one (from the party) of our little cousin Addie holding Brooklyn.  Addie is 3 1/2, and has the cutest curly hair.

Pop and Nana had bought this cute little outfit for Brooklyn's first Valentine.  Mom and I tried to get some good pictures of Brooklyn before we headed out on Saturday, but Brooklyn got really tired and fussy with us.  This one was pretty good though.  The outfit didn't make it all day, so after a quick wash, she got to wear it again on Sunday.

On Saturday, we met Granddad and Nana, and Aunt Ashley in Jackson for lunch.  They hadn't seen Brooklyn since Christmas and thought she'd really grown a whole lot.  Granddad and Nana brought Brooklyn a cute little dress, and a new toy for her carseat for Valentines.  Maddux didn't make it, but sent her a little stuffed animal for Valentines.  We enjoyed getting to visit with them!

Later that night, Mom, Daniel, Andy, Brooklyn, and I went back to Jackson to eat dinner and meet/visit with Tobey.  Since it was the day before Valentine's Day everywhere had really long waits.  Daniel worked his magic and got us in at Lonestar without to bad of a wait.  We really had fun visiting with Tobey.  He joined the Navy and starts basic training in May.  We are so very proud of him!!!  Here's a picture of Tobey and Brooklyn...isn't that sweet!!!

Sunday, Daddy kept Brooklyn and let Mommy go visit with Granny White for a few hours by herself.  Then he brought Brooklyn up later to see Granny.  My Granny is so sweet!!!  She'll be 91 years old on March 1.  I wish I could see her more often, but cherish every visit I do have with her.

Here's a few pics of Brooklyn's first Valentine's Day with Mommy and Daddy.  She really cheesed in her pic with Daddy.

13 Weeks Old and a Sweetheart!

Here's a sweet little picture of Brooklyn all dressed up for church (on 2/3).  Thanks to Alex and Allison for the cute little dress!

Our friend Maddie had the same dress, so Angela and I planned to dress the girls alike tonight.  Here's a pic of the pround papa's and their girls.

Friday night (2/6) we went to another one of Daddy's basketball games.  This time Mommy & Daddy managed to capture a couple of pictures (these are from our blackberry phones...I think I have some more on my mom's camera).  She had such a good time...even better than the first time.

More play time

Just wanted to share another picture of Brooklyn playing.  This one was on February 1.  She's just so much fun!!!

On the road again...just can't wait to get on the road again...

Okay, so I won't keep "singing", but we did take another road trip.  This time my mom came up on Thursday (1/28) and then on Friday, Mom, Brooklyn and I headed south to Ozark, Alabama.  We  went to visit a dear family friend, Ms. Elizabeth Lambert.  Friday night we enjoyed just spending time with Lib.

Brooklyn did reach a big milestone while in Alabama, she starated holding her rattle.  We play lots and she's been touching/reaching, but Friday night she consciously held her rattle for a long time and shook it around.  Yes, I'm a very proud Mommy!!!

Saturday morning Laurie drove up from Tally with Christina and Emily.  Although Laurie met Brooklyn in December, this was the little girls first time to meet.   It was really sweet!!!  I must share this picture of the little princess, Christina.  Since I still hadn't shipped their Christmas presents to them, I took them with me.  One of Christina's packages had a tutu, a crown headband, and a purse.  She put them all on and had a the best time.  For lunch, Laurie and I took the girls to the mall, and the tutu and purse went with us. A lady in the mall stopped to tell Christina what a cute little girl she was, and Christina proudly told her, "I'm a princess."  Priceless!!!  Laurie said the tutu even went to the circus the next day.  Too funny!!!

Sunday morning we headed back home.  We had a great time and Brooklyn did really well traveling so far.

NOTE:  My pics from this weekend are all on my mom's camera, and I forgot to get a copy of them.  I'll come back and post them soon!

Here are a few pics of the big "blizzard" we missed while we were gone to Alabama.  Andy's busy weekend ended up not being so busy because of all the snow...except for some good 'ole outdoor fun.  He and some neighbors went sledding down some neigborhood hills using the top of our wheelbarrow.  Wish I could have seen it live!

12 Weeks Old

Ok, so I still haven't gotten a new memory card, but I did capture a great picture of Brooklyn on her 12 week birthday (1/26).  In this one, she's was enjoying some tummy time laying on her Boppy pillow.  We love to play and spend a great deal of timing doing just that.  It's amazing to watch her ability to play with different toys grow more and more each day.

She is just so precious...  Funny how babies/children change your life.  I cannot image our lives without her.  She is definately a gift from God.  We really are enjoying watching her grow...which is way to fast, but exactly on tract.  I am truly blessed to have such an amazing family!!!

On Wednesday this week (1/27), we went to visit my coworkers at HCA.  Of course, this was a special trip and I had to doll her up.  I think she looked so cute in this little sweater dress.

This pic is obviously just after her bath.  She really enjoys playing in her little bathtub.  Her little feet can make a pretty good splash to be so small.

11 Weeks Old

Mommy was a real slacker this week...  Her 11 week old picture is really a day (1/25) before she was 12 weeks old. The memory card for my camera reached it's limits and I just couldn't delete any of her pictures...so...this one and a few of the next ones comes to you from my blackberry.  In this pic, she's playing with a toy we borrowed from Maddie that she absolutely loves!!!  When she pulls on the little toys the little puppy "sings" a song.  It's a catchy little tune, so after a few turns, I learned the words and sang along...just one of the many silly, but fun things we do playing with little ones.

On Friday (1/22), Pop had some business to take care of in Nashville so we rode along.  We had fun visiting with him...even if it was short.  I also took Brooklyn to her first sporting event...Creek Wood High School's varsity basketball games.  This is the school for which Andy is the Atheltic Trainer.  I wasn't really sure how this would go...a gym that was already loud, then the buzzers and whistles.  So, I thought we'd go just for the girls game.  She loved it, and we ended up staying for the boys game too!!!  She enjoyed watching the players run up and down the court...that is until she found the shiny pom poms.  She didn't mind all of the noise either.  Yea!!!  I forgot to bring my camera tonight, but will be sure to get a picture of her next time.

Road Trip...to Lexington

Daddy had to work all weekend (the weekend of the 15th in January) so Brooklyn and I took a road trip by ourselves to Lexington.  We had a great weekend visiting with Pop and Nana, Aunt Julie, Jacob, Emma, and Granny White.  We made our way back home on Sunday afternoon.
